Today’s Word: Renewed
“But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
Understanding the Verse
Isaiah reminds God’s people that lasting strength does not come from pushing ourselves harder. It comes from placing our hope in the Lord. Waiting on God is active trust—continuing to pray, obey, and believe even when the answer has not arrived.
Mini Bible Study
The chapter contrasts human weakness with God’s unlimited power. Even the strongest person eventually becomes tired, but God never grows weary. When we depend on Him, He supplies the strength needed for each season. Renewal may not always mean that the difficulty disappears; sometimes it means God gives us fresh courage to keep walking through it.
Reflect
- Where are you relying only on your own strength?
- What would trusting God while you wait look like today?
- How has God renewed you during a difficult season before?
Today’s Step
Pause for five quiet minutes. Give one burden to God in prayer, then choose one faithful next step you can take today.
Prayer
Father, when I feel tired or uncertain, help me place my hope in You. Renew my strength, guide my next step, and teach me to trust Your timing. Let my life reflect Your faithfulness today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
